Achieve Comfort Through Expert Saddle Fitting
Honest assessments built on years of hands-on apprenticeship and rider experience
SaddleFit & Solutions brings professional saddle fitting education, apprenticeship, and specialized services to Marlborough, NH, and the surrounding New England equestrian communities. Whether you are competing, trail riding, or striking a balance between natural horsemanship, boarding, lessons, and training, proper saddle fit plays a vital role in every ride. Marlborough and neighboring areas are home to active private barns, vibrant show circuits, and dedicated riders who recognize that true comfort and performance begin with regular saddle evaluations.
Every fitting starts with a comprehensive evaluation of your horse’s unique conformation, movement, and current tack setup. The process includes observing your horse under saddle, identifying pressure points or structural imbalances, and discussing any recent shifts in performance or behavior. Each visit provides clear, actionable insights into how your equipment is performing and where adjustments can improve comfort and movement.
As an independent saddle fitter, SaddleFit & Solutions provides unbiased recommendations focused entirely on your horse’s sound movement and your riding goals. The result is a collaborative partnership where both horse and rider move forward with confidence, balance, freedom, and ease.

What Happens During a Saddle Evaluation
Every fitting is meticulously structured to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of how your saddle interacts not only with you, the rider, but also with your horse. During these fittings, you'll have the opportunity to observe firsthand how various adjustments or intentional changes can effectively resolve discomfort, enhance balance, and support the long-term soundness of your horse. The process is inherently collaborative, designed to foster communication and understanding, and you're wholeheartedly encouraged to ask questions at every stage of the fitting.
Whether you are addressing the challenges of a new saddle purchase, navigating seasonal flocking changes, or tackling ongoing performance concerns, the evaluation encompasses crucial elements such as fit, function, and rider alignment. Each recommendation is thoroughly explained in context, ensuring that you grasp not only what needs to change but also why those changes are significant for both you and your horse.
Moreover, our services are thoughtfully tailored to meet the specific needs of your horse and the discipline you pursue, including:
